SOCIETY 1: Live Suspension Show Scheduled For March
January 7, 2004Before entering the studio to record their second album for Earache Records, SOCIETY 1 will give one final performance in support of their Earache debut, "Exit Through Fear"...and this won't be any ordinary show!
Thursday, March 11, at The Key Club in West Hollywood, California... Not only will SOCIETY 1 play a full set of their industrial-metal mayhem, but frontman Matt Zane (as his alter-ego "The Lord") will also perform a series of songs while suspended from his back with meathooks.
Joining Matt on vocals will be a very special guest, yet to be revealed. SOCIETY 1 fans know Matt Zane completed his first suspension on-camera during the shooting of SOCIETY 1's "Nothing" video in early 2003... but that was a mere prelude to the fully live performance that will unfold March 11.
Matt Zane's suspended performance with SOCIETY 1 will be the piece de resistance in a night full of extreme spectacles. Hosted by KSEXradio.com personalities, Wankus and British porn star Layla Jade, the evening kicks off with a series of sex contests, followed by an S&M show, and ends with performances by pro suspension artist Joey Strange and "America's Most Extreme Performance Artist", CoRE.
Matt Zane as "The Lord" offers this warning:
"Anyone who witnesses this entire evening will walk away altered in their ideas of what entertainment and performance can entail. I promise this is something that will live within your consciousness until you meet the infallible adviser, death."
This is a free show, open to fans 18 and over, and will be broadcast live on KSEXradio.com. The first 100 people in the door get a free suspension poster of Matt Zane as "The Lord", autographed by SOCIETY 1.
Following the show, SOCIETY 1 will enter the studio to record the follow-up to "Exit Through Fear". Also look for SOCIETY 1's third video, "Hate", and their first full-length DVD, coming soon.
